New ring roads and highways will be built in these districts of UP, it will cost crores

Many road projects related to the National Highway have already been approved or are under consideration. The Yogi Adityanath government will provide free land for the highway and greenfield expressway projects.

Agro Haryana, New Delhi: Before Mission 2024, a huge network of roads will be laid in Uttar Pradesh. Apart from the Highway-Expressway, the Center and the Yogi government are busy working on construction of bypass from road overbridge.

Many road projects related to the National Highway have already been approved or are under consideration. The Yogi Adityanath government will provide free land for the highway and greenfield expressway projects.

Last month, in the Indian Road Congress conference, projects worth more than Rs 8 to 10 thousand crores were announced. This includes Shahabad-Hardoi Bypass Project (Rs 1200 crore),

Shahjahanpur-Shahabad Bypass (Rs 950 crore), Moradabad-Kashipur NH (Rs 2000 crore), Ghazipur-Ballia section (Rs 1700 crore). Gadkari has also announced Rs 1000 for 13 overbridges (ROBs).

An agreement has also been reached on the four-laning of the Pratapgarh-Sultanpur-Ayodhya highway. A target has also been fixed to widen the Rae Bareli Prayagraj section before Kumbh 2025.

The strengthening work of Gosainganj-Bani-Mohan road can also start soon. Sitapur - Lakhimpur - Gauriphanta and Tundla - Etah - Kasganj and Chandausi - Moradabad - Farrukhabad and Naimisharanya - Gola Gokarnath - Purnagiri - Shahjahanpur routes are also being extended.

Under the second phase of the Bharatmala Yojna, work on the Gorakhpur-Siliguri, Varanasi-Kolkata and Gorakhpur-Bareilly corridors is also set to move forward. Talks are also being made on Ropeway Projects in Ghaziabad, Mathura-Vrindavan, Bundelkhand and Sonbhadra.

The government is also trying to expand the roads of Ring Road and Bypass Divisional Headquarters. Apart from this, 25 bus stations are also proposed to be rejuvenated through NHAI.

Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari had mentioned several such projects at the Indian Road Congress last month.
