Agro Haryana, New Delhi:  After the currency of 2000 rupee note is over, many people are contacting banks to exchange or deposit it. The Reserve Bank of India had given four months time to deposit or exchange 2000 rupee notes.

Banknotes of denomination of Rs 2000 can be exchanged or deposited till 30 September 2023. So be careful if you still intend to deposit in the coming months. Before going to the bank in your state, check the bank holidays, otherwise it may not happen that you go to the bank and the bank remains closed.

According to RBI's press release dated 19 May 2023, "The facility of deposit or exchange of Rs 2000 bank notes will be available to the public till 30 September 2023.

(Prophet Mohammad's birthday) ( Banks will remain closed on Indrajatra/Friday after Eid-e-Milad-ul-Nabi. On the other hand, banks will remain closed for a total of 17 days in September, including Sunday, second and fourth Saturdays.
