Bank Working Days: Now banks will work only 5 days a week, from this day the rule will be applicable

Agro Haryana, New Delhi: If everything goes well, banks will get two days off every week. In fact, there has been a churning going on for a long time on two days weekly holiday in the banks. A decision on this can be taken on July 28.

According to a report, the Indian Banking Association (IBA) may take this decision in a meeting with the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) on Friday next week.

According to the United Forum of Bank Unions, the issue of 5-day banking work was raised in the last discussion. The Indian Banking Association informed that the issue is under consideration and is being worked upon.

According to the United Forum of Bank Unions, it has been requested to expedite this so that five banking days per week can be started without any delay.

However, the daily working hours for bank employees may be increased by 40 minutes. For this a meeting has been fixed on 28th July.

Many important issues are likely to be discussed in this meeting. Approval of the Finance Ministry and the Reserve Bank is also necessary on this.

What is the rule now: At present the banks are open on the first and third Saturdays of the month but now there has been a demand that the working days for the banks should be only five days a week,

Along with this, the employees get 2 days weekly holiday. Explain that the rule of five working days has been implemented in the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC).
