Why did Shri Krishna marry Arjuna's eunuch son?
In the treatise related to Arjuna's eunuch son and Shri Krishna, it is said that Arjuna's eunuch son married Shri Krishna.
In the Tamil translation of the Mahabharata, such a description is found that Arjuna's son Iravan was a eunuch and he is considered the god of eunuchs.
Iravan was a skilled warrior and had an important role in the Mahabharata.
Iravan was the son of Arjuna and the serpent girl Ulupi. Iravan was born as a male but due to a curse he became eunuch.
The Pandavas got ready for the worship of Maa Kali and the sacrificial tank was decorated but after the worship no one came forward for the sacrifice.
Then Etawan decided to sacrifice his life in front of Maa Kali, suggesting the trick of human sacrifice, for which all the Pandavas agreed.
The problem was that which father would give his daughter to the person who was going to die and himself would make his daughter a widow.
Then Shri Krishna married Iravan in the form of a woman. After the death of Iravan, Shri Krishna also mourned like a widow the next day.
According to the boon of Maa Kali, Iravan was considered the god of eunuchs. Since then the tradition of marriage of eunuchs to Iravan started.
