Actually, in the fourth over of Kolkata Knight Riders' innings, a ball from Delhi Capitals fast bowler Ishant Sharma hit the edge of Sunil Narine's bat, but Rishabh Pant did not take DRS on time. 

Sunil Narine was batting on 24 runs at that time. It so happened that Ishant Sharma came to bowl in the fourth over of Kolkata Knight Riders' innings. Sunil Narine hit 6, 6 and 4 on the first three balls of Ishant Sharma in this over. 

After this, Sunil Narine tried to play a big shot on the fourth ball of Ishant Sharma, but the ball took the outer edge of his bat.

Delhi Capitals paid the price for the defeat

Rishabh Pant had caught this ball. However, due to not taking DRS on time, Sunil Narine got life. Mitchell Marsh, who was fielding in the covers, had also signaled Rishabh Pant to take DRS. 

Rishabh Pant did not react at first and then when DRS was indicated, time had passed. If Rishabh Pant had taken DRS, Sunil Narine would have been out on 24 runs.

Sunil Narine then snatched the match from Delhi Capitals. Sunil Narine played an inning of 85 runs in 39 balls. Sunil Narine's innings included 7 fours and 7 sixes.

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) batsmen batted first in this match and scored 272 runs on the board. Sunil Narine scored 85 runs in 39 balls and Angkrish Raghuvanshi scored 54 runs in 27 balls. 

However, the Kolkata Knight Riders team missed by five runs from equaling the record of the highest score in the history of IPL. The Delhi team was nowhere to be seen in the match with both bat and ball. 

Captain Rishabh Pant scored his second consecutive half-century while Tristan Stubbs also played an inning of 54 runs, but apart from these, no batsman could survive and the entire team scored 166 runs in 17.2 overs. Limited to runs.
