Mahindra Thar and Maruti Jimny's new 'enemy', Force Gurkha 5-Door is coming

Agro Haryana, New Delhi Force Gurkha 5-Door: Force Motors may soon launch 5-door Gurkha in the Indian market. Now the company has released its teaser. It can be launched in the next few months.

The 5-door Force Gurkha will compete with Mahindra Thar Armada (5-door) and Maruti Jimny. The Gurkha 5-door has also been spotted testing on Indian roads several times.

The models seen during testing have revealed that the 5-door version will have some cosmetic changes compared to the standard 3-door model.

In this, instead of round headlamps, new design square headlamps will be available. The dual-slat front grille of the 3-door version will remain intact. Also, some changes can be seen in the front and rear bumpers.

It may get new 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels compared to the 16-inch wheels of the standard model. The Force Gurkha 5-door is expected to have a 2,825mm wheelbase, which is 425mm more than the 3-door version.

The interior design of the vehicle is expected to remain largely the same as the first model but some new features will also be included.

In this, shift-on-the-fly 4WD knob can be provided on the center console near the driver seat. Whereas in 3-door Gurkha, there are separate lock levers for front and rear differentials behind the gear lever. The 5-door Gurkha can be offered in multiple seating layouts.

In this, options of 5-seater (two row), 6-seater (three row) and 7-seater (three row) can be given. In the 7-seater version, bench seats can be found in the second row while two separate captain seats can be found in the last row. However, the Gurkha 5-door is also expected to get the same 2.6L diesel engine as the 3-door.

This engine is sourced from Mercedes-Benz and is already used in the Gurkha 3-door with a 5-speed manual gearbox. In this, this engine gives 91bhp and 250Nm output. However, the engine can be tuned for higher power output and torque.
