Apple got a big blow due to Taiwan earthquake! Will iPhone launch be delayed now?
Agro Haryana, New Delhi Taiwan earthquake: There was a huge earthquake in Taiwan this morning. This was the strongest earthquake in the last 25 years, whose reading on the Richter scale was 7.4. 7 people died and more than 700 people were injured in this earthquake.

According to the report of MacRumors, many basic things have also been damaged by this earthquake, which also includes TSMC factories.

TSMC is the company that makes all the special chips of Apple, such as the A-series processor and M1 processor used in iPhone, iPad and AppleTV.

This may mean that there may be a delay in the production of iPhone and MacBook. This may also affect the upcoming launches of Apple.

Damage caused in chip manufacturing factory

According to MacRumors report, Taiwan's TSMC factories suffered significant damage due to the earthquake. Especially the N3 chip manufacturing factory located in Tainan city has suffered huge damage.

The roof eaves and pillars have broken there, due to which all work has stopped. Due to this, EUV (Extreme Ultraviolet) machines, especially required for making chips smaller than 7nm, have also been damaged and they are not working at present.

Additionally, the walls of the research and development labs have also been torn apart. Similarly, in another factory located in Hsinchu city, pipelines have broken and chips have also suffered a lot, due to which production has stopped there too.

There will be loss due to production stoppage

According to reports, the chips that TSMC makes, such as the 3nm A17 Pro chip used in the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, require continuous work for weeks and a certain air pressure.

But due to damage to factories and stoppage of production, some such advanced chips may get damaged, even if they were not directly damaged in the earthquake.

According to the report, TSMC has started taking stock of the damage to the factories and they are trying to restart production in some parts. However, it is not yet clear how much impact the production shutdown will have on Apple's supply chain.

Apple will launch these products soon

Apple is going to launch many new devices in the coming time, including Vision Pro headset (which will be sold in more countries), new iPad Air, Mac Studio, Mac Pro, iPhone 16 series, Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 3. Are.
