Tomato Price: As soon as new tomatoes come in the market, the price drops, check the latest price immediately

These days the price of tomato in the country has ruined the pocket budget of the common man. In some states, as soon as new tomatoes come in the market, there has been a decline in the prices of old tomatoes, let's know....
 

Agro Haryana, New Delhi: Tomatoes are still being sold at Rs 150 to 160 per kg in Madhwapur, Daraganj, Kidganj, Muthiganj vegetable markets.

At the same time, retail shopkeepers are selling it at the rate of Rs 180 to 200 per kg. The retail price of tomato was around Rs 25 to 30 per kg till the end of May.

Tomato was being sold at Rs 200 a kg in July

Tomatoes turned so red in July that their prices skyrocketed. With the price reaching Rs 200 per kg, it almost disappeared from the kitchens of the houses.

Even in Naini Sabzi Mandi, the price of tomato was Rs.160 to Rs.200, but suddenly the shopkeepers piled up tomatoes in the vegetable market here. The price dropped sharply to Rs 100 a kg.

On the information of fall in the prices of tomatoes, there was a crowd of tomato buyers in Naini vegetable market, there was a huge sale.

On the other hand, retail shopkeepers also sold tomatoes at Rs.120-140 per kg in Naini. Raju Kushwaha, the shopkeeper of Naini Sabzi Mandi, told that the price of tomato has come down significantly in a day.

Prices still high in small markets

Due to more arrival in the mandi from Bangalore, the price of tomato has come down in the mandi. Naini's retail shopkeeper Bablu Nishad said that tomatoes are being sold at Rs 120 to 130 per kg.

On the other hand, the price of tomato in the city is not taking its name. Even now, the price of tomato remains at Rs 150 to 160 in small and big vegetable markets of the city.

At the same time, those selling vegetables on handcarts are selling 180 to 200 rupees per kg. Satish Kushwaha, president of the Mundera Vegetable and Fruit Seller's Association, says that the prices have come down due to the arrival of tomato consignments from Bangalore and Nashik.
