Dr. Madan Khichad, Head of the Department of Agricultural Meteorology, said that due to the western end of the monsoon trough moving north towards the foothills of the Himalayas, there has been a decrease in the activities of monsoon rains in the state since last one week.

According to the data recorded by the India Meteorological Department, since the onset of monsoon in the state till August 8, the state of Haryana has recorded 341.3 mm of rainfall, which is 39% more than the normal rainfall (245.2 mm).

19 districts of Haryana have received normal or more than normal rainfall, but 3 districts have received less than normal rainfall so far.

The highest rainfall northern districts in the state are Kurukshetra (+193%), Panipat (+95%), Sonipat (+88%), Karnal (+68%), Yamunanagar (+61%) and Hisar (-35%). %), Jind (-18%) and Fatehabad (-15%) districts.
