This amount seems to be more than it sounds like this, but if we compare it with the previous amount, it will seem even more surprising. Earlier in Delhi, the maximum circle rate per acre of agricultural land was only Rs 53 lakh.

If this difference is calculated, then this increase is 843 percent more than the previous price. This increase has been approved by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. It has to be sent to Delhi's Lieutenant Governor Vinay Kumar Saxena for final approval.

The order to increase the circle rate will be issued after the approval of the Governor. Delhi's Revenue Minister Atishi said on August 7 that till now there was only one circle rate in the whole of Delhi, which has been changed to the district level.

circle rate has not changed since 15 years

Atishi told on Twitter that the circle rate of agricultural land in Delhi in 2008 is Rs 53 lakh per acre since 2008 itself. He said that 15 years have gone by.

The maximum rate is also different in different areas. Atishi gave information about the new circle rate of different areas from Twitter. In New Delhi and South Delhi, it is the highest i.e. Rs 5 crore per acre.

At the same time, a circle rate of Rs 3 crore per acre has been kept in North Delhi and South West Delhi. The circle rate per acre in central Delhi has gone up to Rs 2 crore.

Farmers will be benefited

An official of Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has said that this will benefit the farmers. He said that now buying agricultural land in Delhi will become expensive.

In Delhi, agricultural land is being acquired for government works, such as road construction, building construction, school, hospital and other infrastructure.

This matter often gets entangled in legal tussles due to farmers not getting the right compensation due to the circle rate. With this increase in the circle rate, it is expected that now such a situation can be avoided.
