Ayodhya Ram Mandir: 400 kg lock made for Ram temple, know its specialty

In fact, this 400 kg lock for the Nirmanadhir Shriram temple in Ayodhya has been made by locksmith Satyaprakash and his wife Rukmini Devi together. Satyaprakash tells that all his accumulated capital has been spent in making this lock.

Agro Haryana, New Delhi: There is no dearth of Ram devotees in the whole country including Uttar Pradesh. Similarly, a devotee of Ram from Aligarh has made a 400 kg lock for the Ram temple under construction in Ayodhya. Its key is 4 feet long.

This lock can be handed over to the Ram temple management in Ayodhya by December 2023. Regarding this lock, an official associated with Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Trust told a Hindi news website that the temple management will have to see where this lock should be used.

Satyaprakash of Aligarh and his wife made lock

In fact, this 400 kg lock for the Nirmanadhir Shriram temple in Ayodhya has been made by locksmith Satyaprakash and his wife Rukmini Devi together. Satyaprakash tells that all his accumulated capital has been spent in making this lock.

This lock is said to be the world's largest hand-made lock. Satyaprakash Sharma is planning to gift this lock to the Ram temple management by the end of this year.

Satyaprakash Sharma says that his forefathers have been making handmade locks for more than a century.. He himself has been doing the work of beating and polishing locks for more than 45 years. He told that he has made this lock which opens with a key of four feet keeping the Ram temple in mind.

First made 6 feet long and 3 feet wide lock

Aligarh's locksmith Satyaprakash Sharma told a Hindi news website that earlier he and his wife Rukmini had made a lock 6 feet long and 3 feet wide. After this some people advised him to make a bigger lock.

Satyaprakash told that then we focused on making it bigger and it cost about two lakh rupees. Satyaprakash's wife Rukmini says that we thought of making such a lock for the Ram temple, which is completely different.

Since our city is known for the construction of locks. That's why we took this task. However, before this no one had made such a big lock in Aligarh. We have spent all our savings to make it.

This is the specialty of locks

Satyaprakash Sharma and his wife Rukmini Devi tell that this lock is 10 feet high. The decoration of the 9.5 inch thick and 4.5 feet wide lock is yet to be completed. We are working on getting it ready as soon as possible. However, we kept it in the annual exhibition held in Aligarh.
