27 new metro stations will be built in this district of Haryana, list released after approval

Agro Haryana, New Delhi: Currently, Delhi Metro runs only till HUDA City Centre. The road to Cyber City will be the main road. A diversion will also be taken from the line of Dwarka Expressway.

The government announced on Wednesday that the project is expected to be completed in the next four years at an estimated cost of Rs 5,452.7 crore. This line will connect New Gurugram to Old Gurugram via Metro.

It is estimated that by 2026, 5.34 lakh people will travel daily in the metro. This number will increase to 7.26 lakh by 2031 and 8.81 lakh by 2041.

The Government of India will provide Rs 896.19 crore out of the total cost of the project. It will be followed by Haryana government with Rs 1,432.49 crore, Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) Rs 300 crore, loan Rs 2,688.57 crore and public private partnership Rs 135.47 crore.

26 stations will be built on the main route, while there will be one station on the additional line coming out of the same. Thus, a total of 27 stations will be built in the Gurugram Metro project. The entire project is 28.5 km long. Out of which 26.65 km is main line and 1.85 km is additional line.

Who will build the station and where?

The responsibility of implementing the project will be with the Haryana Mass Rapid Transport Corporation Limited (HMRTC). Gurugram Metro will not be underground anywhere. This entire route will be elevated.

There are 26 stations on the main line: HUDA City Centre, Sector-45, Cyber Park, Sector 47, Subhash Chowk, Sector 48, Sector 72A, Hero Honda Chowk, Udyog Vihar Phase 6, Sector 10,

Sector 37, Basai Gaon, Sector 9, Sector 7, Sector 4, Sector 5, Ashok Vihar, Sector-3, Bajghe Ra Road, Palam Vihar Extension, Palam Vihar, Se Sector 23A, Sector 22, Udyog Vihar, Udyog Vihar Phase-5 and Cyber City. The additional route will lead to Dwarka Expressway (Sector 101).
